Attorney & Counselor
Attorney David E. Christensen is the founder of Christensen Law in Ann Arbor, Michigan. A highly regarded trial attorney, David has been representing the victims of auto accidents for over twenty years. He has successfully represented thousands of clients against some of the largest insurance companies and corporations in Michigan.
Christensen is also seen as one of the foremost experts on brain injury within the Michigan legal community. He has a passion for representing these most seriously injured motorists, and makes sure he takes the time to understand each client’s injuries and challenges. He regularly takes on insurance companies seeking to cut off benefits claiming that maximum recovery has been reached, and has been successful in receiving life-long awards for those who need it most.
David E. Christensen’s experience doesn’t stop at the courthouse. He has become an authority on Michigan no-fault law and motor vehicle accidents. He is a frequent lecturer at legal seminars and workshops including those hosted by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and the Michigan Association for Justice’s annual No-Fault Institute, the state’s largest and most important no-fault seminar.
Because of his experience and training in this area, David E. Christensen has been appointed to key positions within the legal community including:
- Secretary of the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ),
- Chair of the No-Fault Legislation Committee of the MAJ,
- Chair of the Negligence Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, and
- Delegate of the State Bar’s Representative Committee.
All this state-wide recognition hasn’t made David E. Christensen forget his roots, though. He earned his Master’s Degree and Law Degree, with honors, from the University of Michigan. He is also former Chairman of the board of trustees for the HelpSource Agency, the largest social services agency in Washtenaw County, served on the Washtenaw Council on Alcoholism, and was a member of the board of directors of Spectrum Prevention Services in Ann Arbor.
After years working at a large no-fault law firm, David E. Christensen decided he could better serve his clients in a smaller, more intimate setting.
“My injured and disabled clients are usually experiencing the worst times of their lives,” Christensen says. “I love being able to help them get through these times, to get their new lives on the right path and safeguard their futures. A small firm environment gives us the intimacy to really get to know our clients, and give them the very best service that just isn’t possible in a large law firm.”
That is why he founded Christensen Law in Southfield in 2014, and in 2015 expended the practice to a second office close to home in Washtenaw County. This small-office feel allows him to be personally involved with his clients and their families.
